My grandson's love to receive it in the mail, and read it until it falls apart.
I keep this around in my classroom for the kids to enjoy and they simply love it. It's definitely the most popular magazine on the shelf.
We use the magazine not only as reading material, but we make up quizzes and test each others knowledge. We also find new ways to help the enviroment and we share that with others in our community. Anytime a paper has to be done on a particular animal or subject that we came across in the Ranger Rick magazine, we use it as a reference. I think its a great tool for teaching reading, enviromental issues, and as reference material for later use.
The kids are always asking if the next issue came in the mail. Even my son that hates reading, jumps up and down when it arrives. It is a hit all the way around. Encourages reading, stimulates their brain, teaches good values and keeps my attention as well.
